Chasing the dragon is a reference to opium slang. I’m not a drug user. (Remember kids DARE to say no to drugs.) I’m more of this kind of user. As a gamer I’ve slain a good number of dragons. I started playing games on the Atari 2600, 7800, then the classic NES. I veered into PC gaming foregoing all consoles through the 90s until developers started spending all their creative efforts on starting GPU fires. Now I’m generally back to consoles since the current generation cost as much as a high end graphics card, double as streaming media players, offers more and varied titles and the dumb things tend to just work.

Having played games for 25 years I’m looking for a sophisticated experience. I read books, watch movies, travel when I can, and work a career. I look for and expect games that are fun, thought provoking, creative and novel.
